Sally Caldwell Fisher has gained international recognition with her artwork while portraying New England coastal life. She is constantly finding inspiration, and therefore keeps an eye to the past. As an avid collector of antique photographs and reproductions, she finds herself constantly surrounded by captivating subject matter. Her sense of humor and instinct for capturing coastal life are a joy to behold. Sally also makes her home on the coast of Maine which is another source of inspiration. "Growing as an artist is a real passion for me. I feel the only way to do that is to paint constantly. With each and every painting there is a story to be told. Since painting is my form of expression, I will start outside the painting and inevitably finish inside. Very often the story lies within the details, calling for the viewer to pay close attention." Born and raised in the mid-west, Sally was given watercolors at an early age by her mother, also an artist, and was always provided with good materials to work with. Sally attributes her sense of humor to the special bond she shares with her four brothers and sisters. Sally Caldwell Fisher was last represented by Maine Art Paintings and Sculpture in 2008.
