Pink Stripe
October Marsh Evening
Marsh off Bass Creek Road

Lately I’ve been finding my inspiration in the colors, textures, and solitude I find along marshes, trails and the water. Most memorable for me are often gray days, and evenings, when the filtered light and shadows deepen colors. Coastal trees stand out like resolute figures, and I appreciate their determination.

In the water works, I want to convey the sensation of water, light and motion. I want to depict a time of day, a sensation, and a moment.

I grew up on the shore on Buzzard’s Bay, MA, and still spend as much time there as possible. I live outside Providence, RI, with my husband, two boys, four cats and one sweet dog. My work is in collections around the country and overseas, and I have a BFA (UMASS, Amherst) and MFA (University of New York, Albany), and also studied at the Museum School, Boston, and the Academie Brugge, Belgium.
