Kennebunk and Kennebunkport are very much small towns. We are referred to as ‘a friendly coastal village’, and we try to live up to that reputation. Most of us have been here for a bit, and plan on sticking around for a while longer. For those who have visited before, we pride ourselves on recognizing faces, calling folks by name, and often asking about family and winter’s news.

Painting the Town Red
For the entire month of February visitors and locals alike will find special deals, interesting events, and wonderful surprises through out our two coastal villages. Both Kennebunk and Kennebunkport will host this annual event. Eat, stay and play specials will run from January 28 – February 28, 2017.
Elizabeth Ostrander – Artist Insights
Elizabeth Ostrander has not forgotten her “inner woman”. She celebrates her with clay and a glaze of acrylic paint to make her come alive in so many of her sculptures. “The mystical and the mythical is an essential part of my female life and experience,” says Ostrander. “Female images in my sculptures reflect not only my own experiences as a woman, but also synchronies beyond myself.”
Trip Park – Artist Insights
Born in upstate New York, really, really far upstate New York, Trip Park “started” in the world of art by drawing. Not know where it would eventually lead, he took every opportunity to put pencil to paper. He didn’t just love to draw, he felt he had to draw – every and any place he could.
The Art of Giving Old Things New Life
As much as the staff loves to see Floral Spigots come through the door with Patrick, it is very difficult not to fall in love with the new Diving Ducks. The colorful croquet balls that center each of his birds adds a sense of whimsy that is hard to deny. These birds were created this fall for the holiday season.
Happy New Year 2017
Cheers to a new year. As amazing as 2016 was for us here at Maine Art, we are looking forward to 2017. It is our twentieth year as Maine Art, and we have filled the season with so many exciting and new events to share with you.
The Happiness of the Holidays
We, here are Maine Art, as so lucky to spend our days surround by beautiful works of art and a staff that truly enjoy coming to work everyday. It makes the gallery a wonderful place to be every day, but especially this time of year. So, as the last few days of “shopping season” wrap up, we invite you to stop in, even if its just to say Happy Holidays and share a smile.
And Prelude Continues…
Prelude is still going strong here in the Kennenunks, but now we are decorated in snow. For those who missed it last weekend, we are doing it all over again! There are added activities and new fun events, so check out the link to the schedule below, and come in a visit us here at Maine Art.
Happy Holidays in the Kennebunks
It is that time of year again. Kennebunk and Kennebunkport are coming alive with holiday spirit. Over the course of the last few days, greens have been cut, bows tied and lights strung. The town looks fabulous and is more than ready to greet the influx of locals and tourist soon to arrive to kick off this holiday season with Christmas Prelude. Here at Maine Art, we are excited to be a part of it.
And the winner is…
