Scott Moore grew up outside of Washington, D.C. His parents were both artists: his mother was a fashion illustrator and his father an art director for the Institute of Heraldry. Moore has a BFA in Painting from the Maine College of Art and has lived and painted on the coast of Maine for forty years. He has served as a consulting artist for Maine’s Percent For Art program, taught at the Farnsworth Museum, lead workshops including Maine Women in the Arts at Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, and recently curated “Four Maine Painters” at the Maine Audubon Gallery. Scott lives in a nineteenth century farmhouse overlooking Penobscot Bay with his wife and daughter.
