Merry Makers Market on Maine Art Hill

Once again, Maine Art Hill is transforming into a Merry Makers Market for the holiday season. Each year, Maine Art Hill’s galleries embrace the holiday with a blend of arts, community, charity, and, of course, a great deal of fun for the children and the children at heart.

This year’s events run from November 24 to December 26, with many special happenings scattered throughout. We have invited eighteen Maine artists and artisans to fill two of the 5 Chase Hill Road galleries beginning November 24. We are starting a week earlier and going a week longer than Prelude, giving locals a calmer time to shop. An outdoor fire pit and refreshments are provided daily for a warm welcome.

During Prelude, November 30 to December 10, The Gallery at the Grand Hotel at 1 Chase Hill Road is joining in the fun and hosting several artists, which allows for more “festivities” at the galleries on The Hill.

Some of the Special Events include:

A Holiday Photo Booth to benefit the COS Food Pantry. With a suggested $10 Donation, 100% goes to the COS of the Kennebunks. Pose with the provided hats, props, and a lifesize Grinch against a festive backdrop. This event happens November 30-December 10, Thursday to Monday, 10 am-4:30 pm at the show galleries at 5 Chase Hill Rd.

A Kids Crafts and Scavenger Hunt sponsored by Portside Real Estate Group. The Gallery at the Grand has fun-filled holiday activities designed especially for KIDS. Let your child’s imagination run wild while making a holiday craft of their choice. On your way out the door, grab a Prelude-inspired scavenger hunt to complete as you explore the town. This donation-based event and 100% of the proceeds will benefit Grahamtastic Connections. On Friday, December 1, come from 12-5 pm. Over the weekend, December 2 & 3, stop by between 10 am-2 pm.

Free Crafts for Kids with the Common Roots Mobile Art Bus. Parked outside the Grand Hotel on December 9 & 10 from 11 am-3 pm, this fantastic Biddeford-based bus will entertain the kiddos with crafts and craziness.

DeLeo Group Toys for Tots Drive. On Saturday, December 9, visit from 10 am-1 pm for coffee, cider, doughnuts, and merriment with guest appearances from some lively holiday characters. 5 Chase Hill Road
