When October comes to Maine, confetti-like leaves and frosted pumpkins find their way into everyone’s hearts and minds. The colors red, orange, and yellow often take center stage, but not for John Spain and Maine Art Hill. For Spain and many of his staff and artists, it’s all about The Pink.

Hope on the Hill – The 3rd Annual Pink Show on Maine Art Hill
The owner of Maine Art Hill, John Spain, aka Real Man, has once again been selected for the to be one of seventeen candidates taking part in the American Cancer Society’s Real Men Wear Pink of Maine. RMWP gives men a leadership role in fighting breast cancer. Spain incorporated The Pink Show into his Real Men Wear Pink campaign as a way to grow the support he is able to give back.

“The fact that I am in a position to help focus awareness and offer support to our local community is overwhelming and impossible to resist,” says Spain. “This is everyone’s disease, be it a survivor who continues to fight every day, or someone who battled bravely but lost the fight. My job in this is easy, working to make the job of others that much easier.”
