MAINE ART HILL SHOWS 2024 – Save the Date
Summer shows will be bi-weekly again, alternating between Shows on Maine Art Hill at 5 Chase Hill Road and The Gallery at the Grand at 1 Chase Hill Road. Each show runs for about four weeks, with opening receptions with the artists each Saturday a show begins. These receptions are free to the public and open to anyone; no tickets are required.

“The Latin phrase, Tempus fugit, is interpreted as time flies,” shares artist Craig Mooney. “I have been thinking about it a lot lately and the ephemeral nature of life. There are a few of my paintings that truly grasp that idea.”
Craig Mooney’s Solo Summer Show 2023
Craig Mooney’s 2023 Solo Show runs through Thursday, August 2, at The Gallery at the Grand on Maine Art Hill at 1 Chase Hill Road in Kennebunk. It promises to be a show full of big skies and perfect landscapes. The artist is in the gallery for an Artist Reception from 5 – 7 pm. This is a free public event. This gallery is open from 10 AM to 6 PM daily.
The Dory – Artists Insights from Craig Mooney
I painted this dory in third grade,” laughs Mooney. “It’s funny that I am still painting it. I am always trying to reimagine or revisit it.”

“I’m trying to work both sides of the room for this series of work. Some of the work is more detailed than I typically do, and some are more abstract,” explains Mooney. “What ties them together is the need for the painting to have some drama and mystery.”

“My new show was created as a large body of work related to new directions and areas of inspiration,” says artist Craig Mooney. “Borrowing from themes of British romantic seascapes- I’m working to recast them as a northern New England idyllic coastal piece.”
